WispAudio is designed with your privacy as the top priority. We collect only minimal analytics events, no screen tracking, no behavior analysis, and no personal information. Your audiobooks stay on your device, and we'll never sell your data.

1. No Account Required - WispAudio does not require account creation, sign-up, or login. You can use all features without providing any personal information.
2. No Advertising - We do not display in-app advertisements or share your data with advertising networks. Your experience is ad-free.
3. We Do Not Sell Your Data - We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your privacy is not for sale.
4. Minimal Data Collection - We do not collect, store, or sell personal information such as your audiobook titles, file names, contacts, or identity. Your files remain private to you. We collect minimal anonymized data for app stability and improvement:
   
   Crash Reports: Stack traces, device model, Android version, app version, custom error logs (with all personal information removed).
   
   Usage Analytics (minimal events): App opens, audiobook imports (import events, not titles or metadata), file import attempts, playback events, and cloud service connections/downloads (by provider, not file names). We do NOT track screen views, navigation patterns, or user behavior.
   
   Performance Metrics: App startup time, import duration, metadata extraction time, player load time.
   
   This data is not linked to your personal identity and is retained for a limited time (60-90 days).
5. Data Retention - We retain collected data for limited periods only: Crash reports (90 days via Firebase Crashlytics), Usage analytics (60 days via Firebase Analytics), Performance data (90 days via Firebase Performance), Dropbox authentication tokens (until you disconnect your account or uninstall the app), Local audiobooks and settings (until you delete the app or clear app data).
6. File Import & Storage - WispAudio allows you to import audiobook files from multiple sources:
   
   Local Storage: Import files from your device using Android's built-in file picker. This picker may also access files from cloud storage apps (such as Google Drive) if installed on your device.
   
   Dropbox Integration: You can optionally connect your Dropbox account to browse and import audiobook files directly. This integration:
   • Uses industry-standard OAuth 2.0 authentication (you sign in directly with Dropbox)
   • Requests read-only access (we cannot modify or delete your Dropbox files)
   • Downloads selected files to your device's local storage
   • Stores authentication tokens securely on your device
   • Can be disconnected at any time, which removes all stored credentials
   
   All imported files are stored in the app's private storage on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or backup your files to any servers.
7. GDPR & CCPA Compliance - We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Your rights include: Right to Access (request a copy of data collected about you), Right to Deletion (request deletion of your crash reports and analytics data), Right to Opt-Out (we do not sell personal information), Right to Object (uninstalling the app stops all data collection). 8. Third-Party Services - This app uses the following third-party services:
   
   Google Firebase (Google LLC):
   • Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting
   • Firebase Performance Monitoring for app performance metrics
   • Firebase Analytics for minimal usage analytics
   
   These services collect anonymized data in accordance with Google's privacy policies. No personally identifiable information is shared.

   Dropbox (Dropbox, Inc.):
   If you choose to connect your Dropbox account, the following applies:
   • Authentication is handled directly by Dropbox (we never see your Dropbox password)
   • We request read-only access to list and download files
   • Downloaded files are stored locally on your device, not on our servers
   • Your Dropbox authentication tokens are stored securely on your device
   • We do not access your Dropbox account name, email, or other profile information

   These services may transfer data to the United States for processing.
9. Children's Privacy - This app is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Data Security - Your audiobooks remain on your device. We do not store, transmit, or backup your files to any servers. You control their privacy and security.
11. What We DON'T Collect - To emphasize our privacy commitment, here's what we explicitly do NOT collect: Audiobook titles, authors, or file names; Screen views or navigation patterns; User accounts or email addresses (including from connected services like Dropbox); Your Dropbox password or credentials (authentication is handled by Dropbox directly); Location data or contacts; Detailed user behavior or session recordings; Advertising identifiers; Payment information (app is free).
